The Field Rush Sports Media Writing Internship is an unpaid, educational experience designed to provide interns with real world exposure to sports media and digital journalism. The objective of this internship is to help participants build their writing skills, develop a professional portfolio, and gain experience working with an active media team during the 12 week college football season. This internship is a professional development opportunity, not an employment position. While the role is unpaid, selected interns will be considered part of the Field Rush team and will have their work published and credited throughout the 12 week college football regular season.

What You’ll Do:
Write several game recaps, highlight articles, and feature stories per week covering the regular college football season.
Watch game broadcasts and review stats to gather information and key storylines.
Pitch weekly story ideas to the editorial team and collaborate on coverage plans.
Research players, teams, and trends to create accurate and polished content.
Submit articles according to Field Rush style guidelines and deadlines.
Qualifications:
Strong interest in college football and sports journalism.
Experience with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.).
Writing experience preferred (classroom, blog, or freelance work).
Ability to work independently and meet weekly deadlines.
Attention to detail and accuracy in reporting stats and facts.
Team-oriented and open to feedback.
